Below we have five reasons Mackinac Island is worth visiting.

The adventure begins before you even arrive on this picturesque Michigan Island. To visit the island, a ferry ride is required, making it a fun adventure just getting to the island.
Shepler’s Ferry has two different ports it takes passengers to and from Mackinac Island. The two additional ports are located at Mackinaw City and St. Ignace.

Another unique aspect of the island is the absence of cars.
Since the island does not allow cars means, the only form of transportation is bike rides, walking, and horse-drawn carriages.
It is a fun experience to rent a bike and take a horse buggy throughout the island. It adds to the overall unique experience that Mackinac Island has to offer.
3. Take in the Victorian Architecture
Mackinac Island should be on your bucket list if you are a fan of architecture.
The island is home to some of the oldest buildings in Michigan. The town offers a variety of historical buildings that are worth visiting.
One historic building on the island is Fort Mackinac, which comes to life with reenactments and costumed interpreters.
