Marblehead Lighthouse

Marblehead Lighthouse is a must-see attraction. 

The lighthouse is located in the well-maintained Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, which features a visitor center and picnic area and offers excellent views of the lake. 

The lighthouse is open for tours during the summer months from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 

Visitors can climb up 77 stairs to the top of the over 200-year-old lighthouse allowing for incredible views of Lake Erie.

East Harbor State Park

Another great attraction in Marblehead, Ohio, is the East Harbor State Park.

• Great Egret Marsh Nature Trails

The Great Egret Marsh Nature Trails is a 1.7-mile trail that loops. 

The trail takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. The course is located within the 150-acre Egret Marsh Nature Preserve.

The trail is considered easy, therefore, perfect for individuals of all ages. 

Furthermore, the trail path takes you through the marsh, allowing you to see a variety of wildlife, including marsh birds.

• Wetlands and South Beach Trail

The Wetlands and South Beach Trail is located within the East Harbor State Park. 

The trail is 3 miles and takes over an hour to complete. 

The track is considered moderate and is best for off-trail hikers, as the path has been noted by online users as poorly marked and needs to be better maintained. 

Making it hard for those who desire a beaten path to follow.

View Rare Daisy's

One of the most unique attractions offered at Marblehead is the ability to view rare Lakeside Daisies. The Lakeside Daisy is in full bloom around mid-May.

Since the daisies bloom simultaneously, it allows for breathtaking views of bright yellow daisies that blanket the dry rock surface. 

These daisies can be seen at the Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve.

Sunbath on Lake Erie's Sandy Beaches

Spend the day sunbathing, swimming, and hanging out on Lake Erie’s sandy beaches. East Harbor State Park Beach has beautiful soft sand and gorgeous views.

The beach is considered long, making it perfect for evening walks during a breathtaking sunset. 

Another significant aspect is the beach is dog friendly, so you can bring your fur baby. However, proof of a dog’s vaccine may be required.

In addition to Sandy Beaches, East Harbor State Park offers a playground, picnic, and changing station. Making it perfect for spending the entire day at the park.

Lake Port Park

Lake Port Park is an excellent place for relaxing. The park features fantastic views of Lake Erie with the backdrop of Cedar Point Amusement Park. 

The park has picnic tables throughout, making it a perfect spot to have lunch.

Furthermore, the park features a playground for the kiddos. 

In addition to picnic tables and playgrounds, you can take a stroll on the park’s walking trail. Making it a relaxing way to spend time with your family.
